Antique Bicyle

For this clean and simple masculine card I used the antique bicycle image from SU's Feeling Sentimental set and a sentiment from their Sincere Salutations set stamped with Vintage Photo Distress ink along with a piece of patterned paper from a pack that I received for free a few years ago when I attended CKC Manchester. For some trim, I added a strip of Always Artichoke cardstock attached with vintage brads. Quick and simple :) Can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can take a bike ride!

Sheet Music Snowflake

Because the winter is still hanging on here in New England, I thought this card was a fitting one to share. I have recently discovered Mona Pendleton's blog and am fascinated by her many mixed media creations as well as her overall style, and this card was inspired by her work. I started by adding a coat of shimmer paint to a piece of sheet music and then layered it on an Almost Amethyst background. Then I die cute a large snowflake, spritzed it with shimmer mist, added a piece of glitter paper to the center, and attached it to the card with a large rhinestone brad. I punched strips of Pistachio Pudding cardstock with my favorite border punch and used them to frame the design. Lastly, for my sentiment, I used Verve's Merry Wishes set and added a little rhinestone in the corner for one more layer of bling.
Thanks for the inspiration Mona!

Minty Friend

Today's card is one that I ended up creating in two stages and just recently decided on how to finish. I started out with SU's pistachio pudding as my card base and added strips of cardstock and patterned paper in various shades of pink and grey. But then I couldn't decide how to finish it. So I set it aside until Valentine's day inspired me to use the heart image and sentiment from SU's retired Love You Much set along with a corduroy button and some rhinestones.
